What happens if you are involved in an auto accident and the at fault person says they have no insurance.  How do you know if they are lying?

One of the “tricks of the trade” is using the State’s resources and power to pull the at fault driver’s license for a year or until payment of damages is made.

The form that is sometimes used is t342.   I suggest you call the Wisconsin DMV or a person injury attorney with any questions about what to do when confronted with this situation.

Need to subpoena Facebook or Gmail?  If you do, then you’ll need to know where to serve the subpoena.  For example, how would you know that Facebook has an email just for subpoenas (subpoena@facebook.com)?  Do you know the office in Palo Alto and telephone and fax number for the Facebook department that accepts service?

When you’re researching a defendant, opposing counsel or anyone for that matter don’t forget about Google Alerts.  Today’s talk by Anne Reed, author of Deliberations, reminded me of the great benefit of Google Reader.  With the Reader you can compile everything from the news and blog worlds into one screenshot.  Great litigation tool!

Luckily, I’ve never been a smoker.  So, I’ve not had to take any medication to help stop the cravings. 

I just read about Chantix and its terrible side effects.  According to the FDA in the fourth quarter of 2007 complaints regarding Chantix were more numerous than any other drug.  It is related to about 988 serious injuries.

Chantix is a drug marketed by Pfizer to help stop the addictive cravings of smoking.  It has some minor side effects and some very serious side effects.  If you have suffered some serious side effects please contact me.

If you were administered Heparin between November 2007 and February 2008, suffered a severe allergic reaction and live in Wisconsin it is important that you figure out your legal rights. 

Some of the severe reactions to Heparin are difficulty breathing, nausea, vomiting, excessive sweating and rapidly falling blood pressure. 

It 2008 the FDA admitted that they violated their own policies regarding inspecting the production plant when they allowed the imported raw heparin from China.

I’ve seen ads run by attorneys who handle claims of injured victims who had a history of taking Fosamax.  There are very few attorneys in Wisconsin who actually help injured victims who have taken Fosamax. 

Just a quick FYI about Fosamax.  It is a “bisphosphonate” that was created by Merck to help those suffering from Osteoporosis.  It turns out that there is a strong link between Fosamax and ONJ (Osteonecrosis of the Jaw) and/or low impact stress fractures of the femur.   Bone tissue is weakened and fails to heal after just minor “trauma.”  There is the potential of infection and surgery if the problem isn’t dealt with early.
